On July 17, 2012, China Center for International Economic Exchanges and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will co-host the U.S. - China Investment Cooperation Forum at Beijing International Hotel. More than 300 Chinese and American officials, well-known entrepreneurs and scholars will participate in the forum. A number of issues will be discussed thoroughly at the forum, such as the opportunities and challenges facing the U.S. - China investment, America's foreign investment review system, company law and regulation, corporate governance and responsibility. The experts and scholars will make practical proposals to help Chinese firms to invest in the U.S.

Zheng Xinli

 Zheng Xinli, Deputy director of Economy Committee of CPPCC,Permanent Vice Chairman of China Center for International Economic Exchanges, former Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC.

Born in February 1945 in Tanghe County, Henan Province, Zheng Xinli has a master degree in Economics. He is a senior research fellow, whose research interest is in macro-economic theories and policies.  He was serving in Research Center of the Secretariat of the Central Committee, State Information Center, State Planning Commission, he was acting the Director of the Policy Research Office of State Planning Commission, Deputy Secretary General, as well as the spokesman. he was the Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC before May,2009. He attended a number of Plenary Sessions of Central Committee of the CPC, and participated in drafting the Report of the Work of the Government, the Eighth Five-Year Plan, the Ninth Five-Year Plan, the Tenth Five-Year Plan, the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. He has been long dedicated in economic theories and economic policy research and studies. He has done profound studies in planning and investment system reforms, macro-economic control, medium-to-long term development policies, in which he generates unique insights as well.  

From the August 1978 to August 1981, he was studing in Graduate school of the Chinese Academy of Social Science with a Master degree in Economics from the Industrial Economics program. From August 1981 to December 1987, he was serving as the division-chief-level researcher in the Research Center of the Secretariat of the Central Committee, then deputy team leader. From December 1987 to July 1990, he was acting as the Deputy Chief Economist of State Information Center. From July 1990 to June 2000, he was the Deputy Director, and then Director of the Policy Research Office of State Planning Commission, Deputy Secretary General, as well as the spokesman. From June 2000 to April 2009, he was the Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC, adjunct professor and Doctoral Advisor for Renmin University of China, Central University of Finance and Economics, the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Science.
