On July 17, 2012, China Center for International Economic Exchanges and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will co-host the U.S. - China Investment Cooperation Forum at Beijing International Hotel. More than 300 Chinese and American officials, well-known entrepreneurs and scholars will participate in the forum. A number of issues will be discussed thoroughly at the forum, such as the opportunities and challenges facing the U.S. - China investment, America's foreign investment review system, company law and regulation, corporate governance and responsibility. The experts and scholars will make practical proposals to help Chinese firms to invest in the U.S.

Zhu Guangyao

 Vice Minister Zhu Guangyao has an impressive and longstanding professional record as an economic and financial official. Before his current post, he used to serve as the Deputy Director General of the Department of Government Debt and Financial Affairs, Director General of the International Department, Executive Director of China to the World Bank Group and Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Finance. He came to the current position as the Vice Financial Minister in April 2010.

In recent years, as the economic interaction between China and the rest of the world intensifies, the importance of international macro-economic policy coordination becomes increasingly pronounced. As an important witness to, an active player in, and a staunch advocator for China’s economic diplomacy, Vice Minister Zhu is deeply engaged in many major international economic events. For instance, he is regularly seen and heard during the occasions of the Chiang Mai Initiative for the promotion of regional fiscal and financial cooperation in Asia, China-U.S. Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED), and economic meetings of the G20. He is right at the table of international macro-economic policy coordination and economic negotiations. Vice Minister Zhu’s remarks on relevant economic, financial and international economic cooperation, which represents Chinese government’s stance, has been widely covered by domestic reporters and global mainstream financial media.
